Log File Management

Perspective™ has log monitoring and management capabilities, with the ability to collect, analyze, alert, report, and archive Event Log from Windows hosts, SysLog from distributed UNIX hosts, Routers, Switches, and other SysLog devices, and Application logs from IIS web server, IIS FTP server, and MS SQL server. It helps system administrators to troubleshoot, performance problems on hosts, select applications, and the network.

• Real-time display of log messages on the Perspective Dashboard and in individual device details
• Send alert notifications when an event matching specific criteria is generated
• Archives all event logs and syslogs collected for forensic analysis and determining performance and usage statistics for a host
• Trend reports to analyze the performance of hosts over a period of time
